Description

The SDR2 initiates, collects and stores measurements from Sokkisha electronic tacheometers (such as the SET3 shown in Item 0429). Ten surveying programs allow calculations in the field, namely traverse, inverse, topography, resection, remote elevation, collimation (calibration of instrumental errors), slope reduction, setting out, keyboard input of coordinates or directions. The results can be printed/plotted directly from the SDR2 or transferred to a computer for further processing (as can the original data).

CMOS solid state memory with 32 k RAM (8 bit). Program ROM 32 k.

The keyboard has 33 keys and the display 16 characters.

Four AA batteries are required to operate the unit.

The unit a hand comes with an RS232C cable for connecting to a personal computer.

(The cable for the connection to the instrument is missing.)

The unit has a rubber strap that permits attachment to a tripod.

Two manuals (Printed in NZ) are included: "SDR2 Electronic Fieldbook Application Guide" and "SDR2 Getting Started Guide"

Sokkisha, at that time, decided to build the data storage and computing facility into a separate unit rather than into the surveying instrument itself. Most other manufacturers buily these capabilities into the instruments.

Weight: 450 g (with batteries)
