Description

This is a general purpose electronic tacheometer ('total station'). The vertical circle is indexed (initialised) by tilting the telescope through horizontal. The magnetic liquid compensator has a range of 3 minutes of arc. Its precision is not stated. Keyboards with 20 keys and two liquid crystal displays with 8 digits are available on both faces.

The instrument is a double centre theodolite with two hrizontal movement clamps and slow motion screws. It has a detachable tribrach.

The angle display resolution can be set to 1" ot 5'. The precision of an direction or zenith angle measured in two faces is ±5", however.

Data recording is through a RS232C interface (to a Sokisha SDR2 electronic fieldbook (see Item 0429). The instrument does not have any onboard data recording or computing facilities.

The precision of measured slope distances is given as ±(5 mm + 3 ppm). The atmospheric correction can be entered in steps of 1 ppm on the telescope body. (A correction chart is provided.)

Telescope: 45 mm objective lens, 30 x magnification, 1.3 minimum focus.

Plate level: 30"/2 mm, spot bubble: 10'/2 mm

Weight with battery: 7.4 kg

The transport container contains: SET2 manual, atmospheric correction charts, 2 BDC18 batteries (6Vdc NiCd), Short Field Guide, lens cloth, tubular magnetic compass attachment, tool set with brush and flat screwdriver. The charger for the batteries is missing.

The instrument was last used in 1997.
