Description |
Trivets are used to set up surveying instruments on pillars where the centre is marked with a simple mark. This trivet features the KERN tilting plate mechanism on top and a centring needle below. The latter can be lowered onto the mark with a spring loaded lever for centring purposes. The tilting plate features two small tubular levels and three clamps that allow the levelling and locking of the plate. The centre of the plate has a male thread (about 16 mm diameter) for the attachment of matching KERN instruments or centring plates. Because the levelling screws of KERN theodolites (such as the DKM1, DKM2 and DKM3) have a limited range, the prelevelling of the trivet top is essential. |
