Description |
This Exploration Theodolite is an instrument designed for short-range vertical staff tacheometry and is typically used in exploration and expedition surveys where great accuracies are not required. It is a fairly small and compact instrument with a telescope diameter of 10 mm and an overall height of 185 mm. Horizontal circle readings can be taken to 1 minute and vertical circles can be read to 2 minutes. It is a fairly remarkable instrument, not only for its very light weight and small size, but also for the telescope being fixed in a vertical position with sights reflected to the telescope objective from a pivoted reflecting prism from its neutral position, giving the angle of inclination of the line of sight to a limit of +36 degrees. |
