Description

This GIF-2 interface (Order No. 424 239) allowed to connect the Wild GRE3 data terminal to a personal computer with a RS-232 communication port.

The interface fits into the slot of the on-board battery (GEB-73, 0.2 Ah), which means that the GRE has to be powered from an external battery during the up- or download of data. The cable ends wqith a 9-pin RS-232 (CCITT V.24) socket.

The transfer rates between GRE3 and computer are selectable between 110 and 4800 baud.

The GIF-2 at hand comes with a dummy (GEB-73) "battery" with two spare fuses (fitting the battery slot of the GRE3), 4 GRM10 memory modules (for Wild Tachymat T1610) and the software and installation guide for the GIF12 interface.
