Description |
This Exploration Theodolite is an instrument designed for short-range vertical staff tacheometry and is typically used in exploration and expedition surveys where no great accuracy is required. It is a small and compact instrument with a telescope diameter of 10 mm and an overall height of 185 mm. Horizontal circle readings can be taken to 1 minute and vertical circles can be read to 2 minutes. It is a fairly remarkable instrument, not only for its very light weight and small size, but also for the telescope being fixed in a vertical position with sights reflected to the telescope objective by a pivoted reflecting prism, giving the angle of inclination of the line of sight to a limit of +36 degrees. |
