Description

Telescopic plane table alidade with a parallel ruler (no scale). The base plate is marked 'L042'.

The alidade features an altitude bubble, a cross bubble on the standard, a spot bubble on the base plate and one levelling screw (for the adjustment of the cross tilt).

The vertical circle (glass) features three scales.

The locking key for the box is present.

The wooden carrying box is marked 'L042', 'P/C 49738' and 'P.T.A.L. No. 6'.

The box does NOT contain a box compass nor a leather carrying strap.

History & comments

Sold by ESDAILE & Sons P/L, Sydney.There is a paper sticker by Precision Instrument Co. P/L inside the box, dated 28 February 1961.
